Nghe An Department of Planning and Investment gives Tet gifts to policy families and poor households

Responding to the Appeal Letter of the Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee on supporting and helping the poor to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2021,Department of Planning and InvestmentNghe An launched a campaign among all cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers of the Department of Planning and Investment to participate in responding, donating, and supporting Tet For the Poor 2021 with an amount of 70 million VND.

Accordingly, on January 23, a working delegation of the Department of Planning and Investment led by Mr. Ho Viet Dung - Deputy Director of the Department visited and presented 80 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to poor households in My Ly commune, Ky Son district.

The delegation presented gifts to Vong Thi To Anh, a student in Xieng Tam village, My Ly commune, who is in particularly difficult circumstances but is a good student. This is a case that the Department of Planning and Investment Youth Union received help from.

It is known that My Ly is one of the particularly difficult communes of the province.Ky Son district, currently has 1,428 households with 5,548 people, the poverty rate is 45.9%.

My Ly Commune has been supported by Nghe An Department of Planning and Investment since 2012. Every year, the Department coordinates with agencies and units to visit, give gifts, build charity houses, and support livelihoods for people to escape poverty.

On this occasion, the Delegation also presented 60 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to disadvantaged policy families.Anh Son districtto support policy families to welcome the Lunar New Year 2021 more warmly and happily.
