(Baonghean.vn) - Given the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic in Vinh City, the Department of Health consulted and requested the Steering Committee and the Center for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Vinh City to be more rapid in investigating and tracing F0 and F1.

Nghe An Department of Health has just sent a document to Vinh City and CDC Nghe An regarding strengthening measures to prevent and control epidemics in Vinh City.

According to the Department of Health, in recent times, Vinh City has implemented social distancing, strengthened epidemic prevention and control measures and achieved certain results. However, with the continuous appearance of cases in the community on September 16 and 17, it shows that the risk of a widespread epidemic outbreak is very high.

Faced with the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic in Vinh City, the Department of Health consulted and requested the Steering Committee and the Center for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Vinh City to be more rapid in investigating and tracing F0 and F1. Organize to bring all F1 to centralized quarantine and take samples for testing.

Based on the results of epidemiological investigations of F0 and F1 cases and related factors, the organization will assess and determine very high-risk and high-risk areas, and implement appropriate lockdown and social distancing measures.

For locked-down areas, it is necessary to organize testing of all residents in the area with a frequency of 3-5 days/time during the lockdown period to immediately separate F0 cases from the community, prevent the source of infection and provide timely treatment.

The Department of Health also requested Vinh City to immediately organize environmental treatment for high-risk areas where F0 appears. Especially closed areas, crowded areas, without ventilation such as elevators, apartment corridors, etc.

In addition, the Department of Health also recommends organizing and implementing a scientific vaccination plan, ensuring timely, effective and safe vaccination in disease prevention and control. Strengthening health education communication for people, promoting the activities of community Covid-19 teams. For cases of cough, fever, shortness of breath, respiratory infections, etc., cases related to F0 locations, must make a medical declaration at the health station, at the same time organize screening tests and guide appropriate disease prevention measures.

“The Department of Health is ready to mobilize the Provincial Center for Disease Control and medical units in the industry to participate in supporting the work of preventing and controlling the Covid-19 epidemic in the area when requested by the Steering Committee and the Center for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Vinh City,” the document of the Department of Health stated.

According to the report of Vinh City People's Committee, from August 14 to now, the area has recorded 541 cases of Covid-19 infection. 345 people have been cured and discharged from hospital; 7 cases died. On September 17, 2 cases of infection were recorded in the community (1 case in Ben Thuy ward; 1 case in Quang Trung ward).

In Vinh City, there are currently 3,030 F1 cases and 8,965 F2 cases. From September 19 to September 21, Vinh City will deploy the 14th vaccination campaign with 33,000 AstraZeneca vaccine doses at 29 vaccination sites, including 25 fixed vaccination sites in wards, communes and a number of hospitals in the area.

Since August 14, Vinh City has fined 1,795 cases of violating epidemic prevention and control regulations with a total fine of more than VND 6.3 billion. On September 17 alone, 24 cases were fined with a total fine of nearly VND 19 million.
