Exciting Golden Bell Contest to learn about reproductive health in Tan Ky district
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of October 19, in Tan Ky district, the Provincial Department of Population and Family Planning organized the Golden Bell Contest "Learning about reproductive health knowledge for adolescents and young people" in 2022.
The contest was held with the participation of 100 students from Le Loi High School and received the response of many teachers and students.

Through 30 questions, candidates learned a lot of knowledge about Population - Family Planning; knowledge of reproductive health care for adolescents and young people; knowledge, life skills, skills to prevent and combat sexual abuse.

The issues raised in the contest are also issues that exist in school age.
Currently, the country has about 20% of the population aged 10-19 years old, this age group is facing many problems related to adolescent reproductive health such as: premarital sex, unwanted pregnancy, increasing abortion rate, HIV/AIDS infection at an alarming rate, about half of the people infected with HIV are adolescents.

Previously, according to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), each year in the world, about 16 million girls aged 15-19 give birth. In Vietnam, the birth rate among adolescents is 46/1,000, much higher than other countries in the region such as Myanmar, Malaysia or Singapore. At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to student Hoang Tran Thao Nguyen - class 11A5, Le Loi High School.
