(Baonghean.vn) - Right at the first official launch ceremony in the Chinese market, Vinamilk milk products received high praise from authorities, trade partners, the media and especially Chinese consumers.

This is a trade promotion activity to concretize the cooperation policy of the two governments according to the "Protocol on veterinary and public health requirements for Vietnamese dairy products exported to China" signed in April 2019. "Through this program, businesses of the two countries have the opportunity to approach, connect and find reputable partners to further promote trade in the coming time", said Mr. Bang Tranh - Deputy Director of the Department of Commerce of Hunan province.
In addition to the goal of promoting trade, enhancing cooperation and investment between enterprises of the two countries, this event also contributes to enhancing the image of Vietnamese milk brands to Chinese consumers. At the program, the Vietnam Dairy Association introduced Vinamilk, a member of the Association and also a typical representative of the Vietnamese dairy industry with nutritional products of international quality.

Chairman of the Vietnam Dairy Association, Mr. Tran Quang Trung, commented: “Vinamilk not only has a history of development of more than 43 years but is also the first and only Vietnamese dairy company in the Top 50 largest dairy companies in the world. I believe Vinamilk will be an excellent representative of the Vietnamese dairy industry to introduce to Chinese consumers, while affirming the development of the Vietnamese dairy industry to countries around the world.”
“In 2017, I had the opportunity to taste the products of Vinamilk, the largest dairy company in Vietnam. All were delicious and full of flavor. Dairy products from famous companies like Vinamilk when entering China will bring more choices to consumers” - representative of the Import and Export Association of Agricultural Food and Livestock - China Department of Commerce, Mr. Chau Van said at the event. Market surveys and trade promotion exhibition programs in recent times have shown positive feedback and significant demand from Chinese consumers for Vinamilk products.
In addition, in 2018, delegations from the General Administration of Customs of China visited and surveyed a number of Vinamilk factories and farms to learn about and evaluate Vinamilk's production capacity as well as quality and compliance with food safety regulations in preparation for export to China. These are favorable conditions for Vinamilk to promote business in the market of the world's most populous country.

To bring maximum convenience to consumers, Vinamilk has invested in its own booths on e-commerce sites in parallel with promoting distribution to Chinese supermarket chains and hypermarkets. In 2018, Vinamilk began to approach and bring goods to the Hema Supermarket System - the "Hypermarket" chain of Alibaba Group, as a basis for expanding coverage to other distribution chains.
Hop Ma is one of the modern supermarket systems, with a very large scale with more than 150 supermarkets favored by Chinese consumers, concentrated in big cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen... More specifically, as of August 2019, Vinamilk is present in the Hop Ma supermarket chain in Hunan province and covers all Hop Ma supermarkets in Wuhan city, the capital of Hubei province and is continuing to expand throughout the province.In addition to the provinces where Vinamilk was previously present such as Guangdong, Guangxi and the provinces in the Northeast region, since September 2018, Vinamilk has been present in 90% of the cities and districts in Hunan province. Vinamilk has continuously brought its products to large-scale supermarkets and hypermarkets such as Thien Hong, Hao Nhuan Que, Hoi Mi Ba, Huong Giang Bach Hoa....
In addition, in August this year, Vinamilk products were introduced to Dennis Department Store, the largest supermarket chain in Henan province and continued to expand to many other provinces and cities in China. Starting to learn about the Chinese market nearly 10 years ago, Vinamilk's business strategy is to target end consumers in its distribution chain.
With that orientation, Vinamilk has developed its own booth on e-commerce channels such as Tmall (Alibaba), cooperating with major e-commerce sites in Hubei such as Daily Fresh and Lucky and Fresh. This step helps Vinamilk quickly catch up and meet the new consumption trends of the retail industry in this market to approach and bring products to end consumers more directly and effectively.

At this event, Vinamilk officially launched its brand identity designed specifically for the Chinese market. This action shows Vinamilk's thorough investment in its strategy to penetrate this extremely potential market with 1.4 billion people. Mr. Chau Lap Cuong - Chairman of Yiyiyuan Co., Ltd., Vinamilk's commercial partner in China, said: "Yiyiyuan is proud to be a distribution partner of Vinamilk, a company in the Top 50 largest dairy companies in the world, and will work closely with Vinamilk in its strategy to expand its distribution system in China. I believe that in the near future, Vinamilk's products will become familiar and trusted nutritional products for all households in China."
Good financial preparation and production capacity, proactive raw material sources, along with business and marketing strategies that are culturally appropriate and consumer-oriented will be the basic factors that help Vinamilk not only successfully penetrate the Chinese market, but also create a foothold for the Vietnamese milk brand in this market with the largest population in the world.
