Suzuki GD110 is the cheapest retro backbone model in the Vietnamese market today, with a suggested retail price of 28.49 million VND. The owner of the car wanted to change the appearance and decided to modify the Suzuki GD110 in a more muscular and individual cafe racer style. The modification was done by Tu Thanh Da garage. |
Suzuki GD110 cafe racer has a stronger appearance than the original. The frame is redesigned parallel to the ground, this is a typical design feature on cafe racer models. |
Up front, the headlights and turn signals have been replaced, adding a classic feel to the car. The turn signals have been moved below the headlights instead of being parallel as in the original. |
The triple clamp was also changed, the front of the car was lowered, and the original instrument cluster was also removed. Instead, the modified version uses a classic analog clock that still displays important parameters such as speed, odo, signal lights... |
The classic teardrop-shaped fuel tank is hand-crafted, but is more muscular and larger than the old fuel tank. |
Clip-on handlebars typical of cafe racers create a forward-leaning riding position. |
The rearview mirrors are also integrated into the handlebars, giving the GD110 cafe racer a classic and unique look. |
Brown solo saddle, with cafe racer style rear support. |
Suzuki GD110 uses wide Samurai tires, with size 110/80-17 in the front tire and 120/80-17 in the rear tire. |
The engine remains the same. The Suzuki GD110 is equipped with a 1-cylinder, SOHC, 112.8 cc, air-cooled engine, using traditional carburetor technology for a maximum capacity of 8 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 8.53 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The vehicle's gearbox is a 4-speed manual clutch. The original gear lever is cut off in one direction, similar to other manual clutch models on the market. |
New mace style exhaust, gives more powerful and strong sound than the original exhaust. |
Details such as the rear lights, turn signals, fenders, and luggage rack are completely changed, and the body panels are also handmade to increase the classic look and according to the owner's wishes. |
The cost to complete the cafe racer is about 20 million VND. This is a reasonable price for those who want to own a small car like GD110, but with strong, muscular features not inferior to 400-600 cc cafe racers. |
