How to handle corrupt assets transferred to relatives?

(Baonghean.vn) - This is the concern of voters of Bac Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, expressed to National Assembly delegates at the voter contact conference after the 5th session of the 14th National Assembly on the afternoon of June 20.

National Assembly deputies: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Major General Nguyen Sy Hoi - Deputy Commander of Military Region 4; Hoang Thi Thu Trang - Director of the Provincial Civil Judgment Enforcement Department met with voters of Bac Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district.

Speaking to the National Assembly deputies, many voters agreed with the innovations in the activities of the National Assembly, and at the same time raised issues of concern.

Giving his opinion on the work of preventing and fighting corruption, voter Nguyen Duy Thang raised the issue of how to handle if officials have villas and transfer money from corruption to relatives. Therefore, he suggested that the Law on Prevention and Fighting Corruption (amended) must have strict regulations on this issue.

Voter Thang also expressed his disagreement with the recent act of vandalism of State property in Binh Thuan. This voter requested that the State strictly handle the vandals.

Voters also reported the situation of "brokers" in land auctions. Mr. Nguyen Duy Han was upset: "There are too many brokers in land auctions, raising the price so people do not have enough money to buy land for their children". On the other hand, many of these voters also reported the situation of "protection" of harvesters in rice harvesting, even one voter had to use the metaphor: "good harvest, no rice" to express his indignation when mentioning this issue.

Also at the conference, many opinions reflected on policy solutions for war invalids and sick soldiers, the problem of falsifying documents to enjoy benefits; attention to environmental work, food safety and hygiene in rural areas, ensuring fairness in development between urban and rural areas; discussing solutions to increase allowances for non-professional cadres in communes, villages and hamlets.

On behalf of the delegates, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Dac Vinh responded to voters' petitions. Regarding the issue of corruption prevention and control, the Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation affirmed that the Party and State will strictly handle it; leaders who violate the law will also be strictly handled, all are equal before the law; at the same time, he affirmed that regulations and laws are being developed and increasingly improved to fundamentally solve this problem.

Regarding the issue of rice harvester protection, the Provincial Party Secretary suggested that people send petitions to the District Police and requested the district to direct the police force to thoroughly resolve the issue.

Regarding the issue of "brokers" in land auctions, the Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation affirmed that the province has handled many cases and limited the public and rampant situation of land brokers.

However, according to the Provincial Party Secretary, land brokers are now operating more sophisticatedly, even with pre-arranged arrangements.

In response to voters’ opinions, the Provincial Party Secretary said that he would assign relevant agencies to review and perfect the land auction regulations. On the other hand, Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh also shared the view that it is necessary to design two independent policies for commercial land development and rural residential land for the people.

Also at the conference, the Provincial Party Secretary discussed and clarified contents related to the Law on Cyber ​​Security recently passed by the National Assembly at the 5th session and the draft Law on Special Administrative-Economic Units of Van Don, Bac Van Phong, and Phu Quoc, which is receiving attention from voters and people.
