Driver fined 7 million VND for illegally transporting poultry
(Baonghean.vn) - Dien Chau District Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Station (Nghe An) has destroyed more than 1,600 ducklings of unknown origin and without quarantine papers. The driver was fined 7 million VND for illegal transportation.
Previously, on May 11, while patrolling and controlling National Highway 1A through Dien Yen commune, Dien Chau district police discovered a truck with license plate number 37C - 287.84 driven by Mr. Tran Van Tuyen (born in 1987), residing in Quynh Luu district, transporting 18 cardboard boxes containing more than 1,600 ducklings.

At the time of arrest, the driver could not present quarantine documents or proof of origin. Mr. Tuyen declared that he was transporting the ducks from Hanoi to Vinh for sale.
Immediately afterwards, Dien Chau District Police handed over the vehicle to Dien Chau Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Station for destruction according to the law.
Driver Tran Van Tuyen was administratively fined 7 million VND by the authorities.
