However, the number of small traders coming to do business at the new market is still not enough, many stalls are empty even though they have invested in a methodical, modern, and clean business location compared to the old market.

According to the reporter's records, the kiosks on the street and the second floor of Tan Ky market have been rented by traders for business. However, all the stalls on the first floor, where meat, fish, vegetables, spices, etc. are arranged for sale, are completely empty even though the stalls have been specifically arranged for each trader.

Ms. To Thi No, a beef vendor at the old Tan Ky market area, said: "Since the new market opened, we have been in business for a while, but due to the lack of customers, we have had to go out to continue trading in order to survive..."

While the new market area is deserted, on the road leading to the old market, there are still dozens of small traders doing business in a cramped space, with shabby, degraded stalls and unsafe environments. Outside on the main road, people still encroach on the sidewalk to do business in a very chaotic manner, causing disorder and traffic safety, especially during rush hour.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa - Vice Chairman of Tan Ky District People's Committee said: In the face of the situation that people do not enter the new market to do business, the district has directed the functional forces, Tan Ky Town People's Committee to coordinate with Hai An Cooperative to strengthen measures to mobilize and propagate people to do business at the new market. For traders who do not enter the market but occupy the roadway and sidewalk to do business, the district's functional forces will regularly patrol, remind and handle according to regulations. For the old market land, in the coming time, it will be bid to implement a new project, both creating more spacious works for the district and minimizing the situation of traders doing business around this area.

It is known that small traders from the old market, if they move to do business at the new market, will enjoy many preferential policies such as financial support for moving assets and goods from the old market to the new market; 2-year exemption from collecting fees for using business locations for small traders currently doing business at the old market when moving to the new market and 10% reduction in business location rent for the next year...

Small traders who are not in the above priority list but are currently doing small retail business in the town in particular and Tan Ky district in general, when they have a need to do business at the new Tan Ky market, will be given priority to receive a location as a business location and will be exempted from paying business location usage fees for 6 months...
