Strengthen overall and close coordination to effectively develop Cua Lo tourism

Target to welcome more than 3 million visitors

In 2018, Cua Lo welcomed 2,798,000 tourists, with revenue reaching 2,851 billion VND. The Tourism Festival program was highly appreciated, and the work of promoting the image of the tourist town received special attention.

The town held a press conference and launched a press contest on Cua Lo Tourism to promote its image to tourists in the province, domestically and internationally. In addition to the achieved results, tourism activities in Cua Lo in 2018 still have certain limitations, that is, tourism products are not yet diverse, and typical products have not been developed. Promotional activities, especially promoting the image of Cua Lo to countries in the region, are still limited, so the number of domestic and international visitors is not much.

Organizing tourism activities in Cua Lo in 2019 aims to achieve the goal of welcoming and serving 3,150,000 tourists, an increase of 12.6% compared to 2018, continuing to promote the image of Cua Lo tourism in particular and Nghe An in general to domestic and international tourists. At the same time, promoting awareness and behavioral culture of the people, towards a civilized, safe and friendly tourism environment.

The focus of Cua Lo tourism activities in 2019 includes cultural, sports and commercial events throughout the tourist season, launching press campaigns to promote Cua Lo tourism, opening the Tourism Festival, sports competitions at all levels; organizing activities to celebrate 112 years of Cua Lo tourism and 25 years of the town's establishment, culinary and trade fairs...

Targeting regional customer markets

Discussing at the meeting, representatives of departments, agencies and sectors gave important comments on promoting the image of Cua Lo tourism; strengthening tour-route connections to increase the length of stay of tourists; paying more attention to food safety and hygiene, environmental sanitation; service quality of accommodation establishments, etc.

In his speech, comrade Le Hong Vinh noted that the leaders of Cua Lo town and the Department of Tourism continue to research and develop unique tourism products to serve the shopping needs of tourists; promote and advertise Cua Lo tourism potential on mass media, targeting the tourist market of countries in the region.

Along with that, strengthen connectivity, open more tours and routes to attract guests; pay more attention to environmental sanitation, security and order; have overall and close coordination to improve the effectiveness of tourism development activities.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also assigned tasks to departments, branches and Cua Lo town to soon deploy plans to organize tourism activities in Cua Lo in 2019, creating a good impression in the hearts of tourists when coming to the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh.
