Hoa Sen Group cooperates with SP Group in a clean energy project to help avoid emissions of more than 14,000 tons of CO₂ per year in Nghe An
On the morning of July 18, at Dong Hoi Industrial Park, Tan Mai Ward, Hoa Sen Group coordinated with SP Group to organize the groundbreaking ceremony of a 1,900 RT cold energy system and inaugurated a 12.3 MWP rooftop solar power system.
Attending the ceremony were comrade Le Tien Tri - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Head of the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board. Also attending were representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors and Tan Mai and Quynh Thang wards.
On behalf of Hoa Sen Group, there were Mr. Nguyen Minh Phuc - Deputy General Director of Hoa Sen Group; Mr. Ho Xuan Sy - Director of Hoa Sen Nghe An One Member Co., Ltd.

The industrial refrigeration system at Hoa Sen Nghe An Factory has a capacity of 1,900 RT according to the CaaS model - a refrigeration solution with modern and flexible technology developed by SP Group.
Hoa Sen Group is the first enterprise in Vietnam to cooperate with SP Group to deploy this technology solution. The system is expected to go into operation in the second quarter of 2026.

Each year, this system helps reduce more than 30% of electricity consumption for cooling; avoids the emission of more than 14,000 tons of CO₂, equivalent to the emissions of about 3,300 cars in circulation, or equivalent to the amount of electricity supplied to about 3,900 households in Vietnam.
Previously, Hoa Sen Group cooperated with SP Group to deploy rooftop solar power systems at some of Hoa Sen Group's factories nationwide. The system was put into operation at Hoa Sen Phu My Steel Plant in March 2025 and at Hoa Sen Nghe An Plant in June 2025 with a total capacity of 17.6 MWp.

The synchronous implementation of two clean energy solutions at Hoa Sen Group's largest factory not only contributes to reducing production costs and improving operational efficiency, but also affirms Hoa Sen's pioneering role in proactively greening production activities.
This is also an important step forward, demonstrating Hoa Sen Group's strong commitment to the goal of sustainable development associated with environmental protection, thereby enhancing competitiveness and meeting increasingly stringent market requirements on environmental standards and emissions in the supply chain of goods.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Phuc - Deputy General Director of Hoa Sen Group shared: "The conversion to clean energy, investment in power grid infrastructure, cooling systems and energy saving solutions to serve production activities at Hoa Sen Group's factories nationwide, has shown our strong determination in implementing a sustainable development strategy associated with environmental protection, efforts to green production, contributing and accompanying the Vietnamese Government to promote the country's common goal of reducing net emissions to 0 (Net Zero) by 2050".

Mr. Brandon Chia - Managing Director of Solutions, Southeast Asia & Australia, SP Group, shared: “This is SP Group’s first CaaS deployment project in Vietnam and is an important milestone in promoting sustainable cooling solutions in the industrial manufacturing sector. By providing an integrated and efficient model between cooling solutions and solar power systems, we support customers such as Hoa Sen Group to reduce greenhouse gas emissions while ensuring operational efficiency. SP Group hopes to continue expanding this model to many other partners in the industrial manufacturing sector in the Vietnamese market in the near future.”
