(Baonghean.vn) - With its production characteristics, TH Group's processing factories in Nghia Dan district consume a lot of electricity. However, thanks to proactive solutions, investment in energy saving, and improving competitiveness, TH is considered a bright spot in using energy economically and effectively.

With dozens of farms and factories in the fields of dairy farming, milk production, beverages, food, wood processing, etc. in Nghia Dan district, Nghe An province, TH has a significant electricity consumption.

The largest electricity consumer is TH Dairy Food Joint Stock Company (THMF), the dairy farm operator. The company has 9 farms with a herd of nearly 70,000 cows. The barn system is modernly designed, each cow has its own pen, with an effective ventilation and cooling system on the barn roof; along with processes and equipment to support cow care, milking, barn floor treatment, clean water treatment, wastewater treatment, feed processing for dairy cows, etc. All of which require large electricity consumption.

Cherishing Mother Nature and anticipating world trends, TH Group has taken advantage to develop a renewable energy system. TH's first available advantage is the large area of roofs of barns and factories. The environmental conditions here are also very favorable for installing and exploiting solar power. The second advantage is that TH is always ready to apply the most modern technology in this field to optimize costs and resources.

Mr. Pham Vinh Son - Director of Maintenance Department, TH Dairy Food Joint Stock Company said: Since 2020, TH Group has invested in a solar panel system right on the roofs of the dairy farm cluster, to create a "green" source of electricity to serve the Group's production needs.

As of mid-2022, in Nghe An alone, TH Group has 9 rooftop solar power projects, covering all roofs of TH Milk Factory; May Forestry Company's wood factory; Nui Tien Pure Water, Herbs and Fruit Factory, 5 out of 9 dairy farms, with a total installed capacity of over 9 MW.

In particular, Nghe An Sugarcane Factory (NASU, a member of TH Group) has been producing electricity from burning bagasse for many years, not only to meet the factory's production needs but also to sell to the national grid.

Up to now, the entire solar power generation system installed on the roofs of TH Group's farms and factories in Nghia Dan district, Nghe An province has been connected to the national grid. This completely clean, green power source from nature has met most of the electricity consumption needs of the entire TH farm. This green energy source also contributes to reducing the impact on the area, because Nghia Dan district used to be an area that was often overloaded with electricity due to the intense heat, leading to high electricity demand.

By creating "green electricity" from self-produced solar energy, TH Group has made its mark as a pioneer in responding to the Government's National Program on economical and efficient use of energy for the period 2019 - 2030, aiming to save fossil energy use, contribute to protecting the country's environment, and join hands to complete the goal of net zero by 2050 as Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has committed to the international community.

In particular, the solar power system on the roofs of TH farms also acts as a heat-insulating layer for the farm roofs, creating a cool, healthy living environment for the herd of nearly 70,000 dairy cows - providing high-quality fresh milk to create the TH true MILK brand of clean fresh milk...

In recent years, many energy saving solutions, in which, prioritizing the implementation of innovative technology investment solutions to improve energy usage and reduce energy consumption per unit of product, have been invested in by many businesses.

“Energy saving really brings many practical benefits to businesses, helping them reduce production and operating costs, improve competitiveness, technology application capacity, as well as brand reputation; thereby, contributing to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and protecting the environment” - Mr. Pham Vinh Son - Director of Maintenance Department, THMF emphasized.
