Training on developing plans to ensure national defense and security in wartime

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 20, the Provincial People's Committee organized a training course on building a plan to ensure national defense and security during wartime for departments, branches and sectors in the area.

The hypothetical situation set forth by the People's Committee of Nghe An province is that a military superpower and reactionary hostile forces carry out a policy of eliminating the leadership role of the Communist Party and the socialist regime in Vietnam.

Accordingly, a military power and reactionary hostile forces are implementing a two-faced policy towards our country. While strengthening cooperative relations, they continue to exploit the issues of democracy, human rights... to sabotage; while continuing to implement the strategy of peaceful evolution, violent overthrow and being ready to intervene to eliminate the leadership role of the Communist Party and the socialist regime in Vietnam.

In Nghe An, the enemy's purpose was to destroy military, economic, political and social potential; incite people to overthrow local and grassroots governments; occupy areas and terrains of tactical and operational value; divide strategic areas to establish a springboard to coordinate attacks on the capital Hanoi, and carry out the purpose of the war.

Faced with that situation, the Provincial People's Committee has developed plans and projects to ensure national defense and security in the province.

At the training session, the heads of the Provincial Military Command disseminated a number of contents: defensive operations related to the tasks of departments, branches and sectors; introduced the system of documents and plans to ensure national defense and security for departments, branches and sectors; disseminated a number of economic development targets and plans; and work to ensure the armed forces in defensive operations.

In his speech, comrade Le Minh Thong affirmed that building a solid defense zone is a close combination of building a national defense foundation associated with the people's security posture, creating a combined strength to proactively prevent and be ready to effectively respond to all situations, firmly protecting the locality, contributing to firmly protecting the Fatherland of Vietnam.

After the training session, departments, branches and sectors need to actively and proactively coordinate, direct and review the work of their sectors, report to the steering committee and standing agencies to effectively coordinate the implementation of all assigned tasks; grasp the training contents, promptly develop specific and detailed plans to ensure good operations of their units when situations arise during wartime./.
