The iron-hulled fishing boat captained by fisherman Nguyen Van Phuong and 7 fishermen set sail on April 13. After 9 days of fishing at sea, the boat docked at port on the evening of April 22.After handing over the boat, he and the fishermen set sail to fish at 18 North latitude - 108.36 East longitude, in the common fishing area in the Gulf of Tonkin. After 9 days of fishing, the fishing boat caught 3 tons of mackerel, earning over 400 million VND.

According to many fishermen, iron-hulled fishing boats are much more efficient than wooden boats. All operations are operated by machines, reducing labor for fishermen and ensuring high safety. During a 9-day sea trip, an iron-hulled fishing boat only consumes about 15 million in fuel.

The iron-hulled trawlers mainly catch mackerel and whale. These are seafood with high economic value. On this trip, after deducting expenses, each fisherman earned 45-50 million VND/person/trip.
