At 10:25 a.m., the Nghe An border patrol ship approached the fishing boat and rescued pilot Nguyen Huu Cuong. Major Cuong was transferred to the border patrol ship. Sources said that pilot Nguyen Huu Cuong's health is quite stable. The border patrol ship is moving back to shore.
Earlier, early in the morning, a border guard ship departed from Port Squadron 2, Nghe An Border Guard, carrying medicine and medical staff to the sea, approaching the fishing boat that saved the life of SU30 fighter pilot Nguyen Huu Cuong.

The sea area where pilot Nguyen Huu Cuong was rescued is in Thanh Hoa province, about 28 nautical miles from Mat Island.
