Visiting 2 families with drowned children

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 25, leaders of the Department of Education and Training, Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, and the Red Cross Society of Anh Son district visited and expressed condolences to the family of two children who drowned on the afternoon of September 24.

As reported by Nghe An Newspaper, at around 4:30 p.m. on September 24, three children including Nguyen Le Huyen Trang (born in 2006), Nguyen Le Hong Nhung (born in 2008) (Trang's younger sister) and Le Van Quoc Dat (born in 2009 (Trang and Nhung's aunt's younger brother) were playing soccer in the yard next to Kinh Bat dam in village 3, Cao Son commune when the ball rolled down the dam.

Dat went down to get the ball but slipped and sank into the water. At that time, Nhung and Trang jumped down to save Dat and also sank.

A nearby buffalo herder discovered the incident and called for help from everyone in the village. However, because the dam was too deep, only Nguyen Le Hong Nhung was saved, the other two, Trang and Dat, died.

Upon receiving the news, local authorities of Cao Son commune were present at the scene, helping to bring the children's bodies back to their families and organizing funerals according to local customs.

At the families of the two children, leaders of the Departments of Education and Training, Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, and the District Red Cross sent their deepest condolences to the families, and encouraged and comforted the two families to overcome this loss./.
