Visit and encourage workers with difficult circumstances who had work accidents

(Baonghean.vn) - On this occasion, the Provincial Labor Federation will give gifts to 50 workers who suffered work-related accidents and are in difficult circumstances.

Towards the celebration of International Labor Day (May 1), Workers' Month and Occupational Safety and Health Month in 2020, on the morning of April 27, a delegation of the Provincial Labor Federation led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi - Vice President visited and presented gifts to workers who had occupational accidents and were in difficult circumstances. Also present were representatives of the Industry and Trade Union and the Southeast Economic Zone.

The delegation visited and presented gifts to Ms. Nguyen Thu Huong - a former worker of Nghe An Import-Export Joint Stock Company, currently residing in Tan Phong block, Le Mao ward (Vinh city) who suffered a work accident in 2001, with a disability rate of 90%, paralyzed on one side of her body, and no longer able to work. Meanwhile, her husband is sick and the family's finances are extremely difficult.

Next, the delegation of the Provincial Federation of Labor went to Hamlet 6, Nghi Xa Commune (Nghi Loc) to visit and present gifts to Mr. Hoang Cong Duong (born in 1975), a worker at Son Ha Nghe An Company Limited. Mr. Duong is a truck driver who had a traffic accident in September 2019, causing both legs to be crushed, his pelvis to be broken, requiring multiple surgeries, and is currently in the process of learning to walk.

On behalf of the working delegation, comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi - Vice President of the Provincial Labor Federation encouraged Ms. Nguyen Thu Huong, Mr. Hoang Cong Duong and their families to overcome their circumstances, constantly practice and strive to integrate into community life, and be a spiritual support for family members.

Ms. Nguyen Thu Huong and Mr. Hoang Cong Duong expressed their emotion and gratitude for the attention of the Provincial Federation of Labor and the Industry Union. At the same time, they affirmed that this will be a source of spiritual encouragement to continue fighting the disease, adding more strength to overcome the difficulties and hardships in life.

It is known that on this occasion, the Provincial Labor Federation will present gifts to 50 workers who suffered work-related accidents and are in difficult circumstances across the province. Each gift includes 500,000 VND and 10 kg of rice./.
