Goals: Demirbay (48'), Werner (67', 82') - Aboubakar (79').

Germany had already secured a ticket to the semi-finals and the goal in the final round was only to determine the position with Chile. Against Cameroon, who were inferior in many aspects, Germany had to wait until the beginning of the second half to score the opening goal thanks to a powerful shot from the edge of the 16m50 box by Kerem Demirbay.

Germany's advantage increased in the 64th minute when Cameroon was reduced to 10 men. Ernest Mabouka kicked Emre Can in the knee and was sent off.

In the minutes of playing with an extra man, Germany scored two more goals, both thanks to Timo Werner. The 21-year-old talent who emerged last season in Leipzig's shirt had a neat header and one-touch finish inside the 16m50 box, scoring his first goals in a German shirt.

Last season, Werner scored 21 goals for Leipzig in the Bundesliga and helped the newly promoted team win second place. This young striker is the German player with the most goals in the national championship.

Cameroon only had one consolation goal before they were eliminated from the tournament thanks to Aboubakar. The Besiktas striker headed the ball from close range after poor coordination between the German goalkeeper and defender.

With a draw in the other match between Chile and Australia, Germany took the top spot in Group B and will face Mexico on June 29. In the other semi-final, Portugal will face Chile on June 28.
