Thanh Chuong: Focus on developing key crops
(Baonghean.vn) -Thanh Chuong aims to have 5,000 hectares of tea, 2,500 hectares of cassava, and 2,000 hectares of raw wood by 2020.

Accordingly, the target for tea trees by 2020 is 5,000 hectares, with a yield of 14 tons/ha (currently there are nearly 4,400 hectares, with a yield of 11 tons/ha).
For cassava, the area will increase to 2,500 hectares, with a yield of 40 tons/ha; raw wood will reach 2,000 hectares, with a yield of 1,000 tons/ha; orange trees will reach 500 hectares (currently 308 hectares), of which 400 hectares are for business, with a yield of 12 tons/ha; Dien grapefruit will reach 100 hectares (currently only 4.3 hectares), of which 40 hectares are for business, with a yield of 12 tons/ha.
The general solution is to focus on propaganda and promote the application of scientific and technological advances in production to improve productivity and product quality, develop towards commodity production; associated with appropriate mechanisms and policies.
The district directed localities to closely coordinate with businesses and processing facilities to ensure stable, long-term, and convenient product consumption, increase income, and improve people's lives.
The above important contents have just been issued by Thanh Chuong District Party Committee in the Project to develop a number of commodity crops, create raw material areas associated with product processing and consumption, period 2016 - 2020.
