Vinh City 'formidable opponent' at Nghe An Newspaper Cup

In the past, Vinh City has contributed greatly to the success of the tournament. The host team has the conditions to regularly maintain football tournaments at ward, school and city levels to select the most elite team to participate in the Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth and Children Football Tournament.
From such playgrounds, Trong Hoang, Khac Ngoc, Ngoc Hai... were discovered by SLNA and became big stars of SLNA as well as Vietnamese football. Continuing that tradition, this year's season, the two teams of Children and Youth of Vinh city continue to bring a new generation of players to the tournament.

For the Children's age group, Vinh City has won the championship 3 times, but recently, the rise of district teams has made the competition of the tournament increasingly high. Vinh City Children's is one of the teams that gathered the earliest to prepare for the tournament.
In the 2018 season, Vinh City Children's Team did not win any medals, so coach Tran Anh Duc and his team are even more determined to improve their performance this season. The team has gathered nearly a month ago, has finalized its squad and is in the process of technical and tactical training.
Sharing about this year's squad, Coach Tran Anh Duc said: "The Vinh City teams are always given favorable conditions by the leadership. Although this year's squad is not as strong as before, we are still determined to pass the group stage. Overall, we have prepared thoroughly for the upcoming tournament."

Meanwhile, coach Nguyen Tuan Diep’s Vinh City Youth Team is having difficulty with the field. In recent days, Vinh City Youth players often have to practice on cement ground instead of artificial turf. The last time Vinh City Youth played on grass was a match to screen the team.
In recent years, the Vinh City Youth Team has always won the right to play in the semi-finals. In the past, the team has won the championship 11 times. That is the basis for this year's home team to continue aiming for a medal. According to research, the Vinh City team this year is mostly made up of players born in 2007, not having ideal physiques but very promising.

Coach Nguyen Tuan Diep said: “This year we do not have any outstanding players, but our team is more balanced. The goal that Vinh City Youth Football Club has set is to continue winning medals. In addition, with a generation of players born in 2007, we also determined to create opportunities for them to compete with each other to set longer-term ambitions for the following seasons.”
