Vinh City meets with businesses on Entrepreneurs' Day
On the afternoon of October 5, Vinh City People's Committee held a ceremony to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Vietnam Entrepreneurs' Day (October 13, 2004 - October 13, 2024), and the 1st anniversary of the establishment of Vinh City Business Association.
Attending the ceremony were representatives of departments, branches, sectors, and business associations. On the Vinh City side, there was Mr. Tran Ngoc Tu - Chairman of the City People's Committee along with departments, units, and businesses in the area.
In recent times, the business force in Vinh City has had rapid development in both quantity and quality, structure, scale, and field of operation have changed in accordance with the economic restructuring of the city, efficiency and competitiveness have been improved.
Up to now, in Vinh city, there are 7,855 enterprises, 90 cooperatives, more than 30,000 business households that have been making important contributions to socio-economic development, contributing to regular budget collection and implementing the city's social security policy.
Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the city leaders, Mr. Tran Quang Lam - Vice Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee congratulated the businessmen and enterprises on the occasion of Vietnam Entrepreneurs' Day, and at the same time acknowledged and commended the achievements in production, business and service activities of the city's businesses and entrepreneurs in recent years. Departments, branches, units and wards and communes have created favorable conditions, promptly listened, grasped and removed difficulties in production and business of enterprises.

On September 16, 2023, with the consent of Vinh City People's Committee, Vinh City Business Association successfully organized the 1st Congress, term 2023-2028. Up to now, after more than a year of establishment, the Association has attracted more than 150 members to participate in activities; has maintained exchanges and connections between members. Members have promoted their creativity, actively responded to charitable and humanitarian activities, participated in training and using local labor, creating more jobs for people in the city.
At the conference, business representatives also gave their opinions to the city government, focusing on administrative procedure reform, shortening the time for processing documents, especially in the land sector, upgrading information infrastructure, and more modern digital data so that people and businesses can easily look up data; developing urban infrastructure in sync with development, creating favorable land fund conditions for businesses to expand production and business...
Vinh City People's Committee has received the opinions of businesses and suggested development directions for businesses in the context of new opportunities. City leaders are committed to creating favorable conditions and removing obstacles so that businesses can feel secure in production and business, determined to build a team of city entrepreneurs that is increasingly strong in all aspects.
On this occasion, Vinh City awarded Certificates of Merit to 25 collectives and 7 individuals with outstanding achievements in production and business in 2024 in the area.
