Vinh City will invest 40 billion VND to renovate the infrastructure of the walking street.
(Baonghean.vn) - To create a highlight for the walking street, Vinh city will invest heavily in infrastructure renovation and decoration of Nguyen Van Cu, Ho Tung Mau, Nguyen Tai, and Nguyen Trung Ngan streets.

Accordingly, the city plans to replace the curbs and pave with stone blocks on Nguyen Van Cu, Ho Tung Mau, Nguyen Tai and Nguyen Trung Ngan streets; build sidewalks and asphalt on Nguyen Tai, Nguyen Trung Ngan and Ho Sy Duong streets; arrange stone benches on the streets, build public toilets and mobile toilets; paint and mark parking lines on Truong Thi, Ho Tung Mau, Le Hong Phong, Le Mao and Dinh Cong Trang streets.
The city will install lighting systems and decorative lights on the walking streets to ensure enough light for street activities, making the streets more brilliant and sparkling in the evenings. In addition, the city is currently focusing on promoting and mobilizing businesses along the streets to replace signs, use LED lights and decorative lights; renovate business spaces to be spacious, clean, beautiful, and colorful, creating attractiveness for the walking streets. At the same time, murals will be painted on Nguyen Tai Street, creating a highlight for the street.

Ms. Cao Thi Tuyet Anh, owner of a clothing shop on Nguyen Van Cu Street, said: "When the block and ward came to mobilize us to dismantle and replace the roof and signboard, we were very supportive. When it becomes a walking street, many people come here, including tourists. If we don't renovate and decorate it attractively, it will be difficult to attract visitors to visit and shop."

In addition, the city plans to install mobile barriers made of flowers and trees at the entrances to the walking street, both to prevent traffic and to serve as a backdrop for taking souvenir photos.
At the same time, decorate flower baskets, ornamental plants, and miniature landscapes at intersections of roads; mobilize businesses to decorate flowers and trees at kiosks and booths... to create a green, friendly space for the streets.
It is expected that the total investment for upgrading infrastructure and decorating the walking street will be about 40 billion VND.

“The walking street has many functions: Walking - Entertainment - Shopping, therefore, the issue of investing in synchronous infrastructure; the arrangement of lighting, landscape, decoration of murals, flowers, trees, etc. must be paid attention to and invested in to create a beautiful and attractive appearance to attract people and tourists to visit. In addition to the investment of the city, the steering committee is currently coordinating with mass organizations to mobilize people along the streets to renovate the facade; rearrange the space, increase the lighting and install signs with decorative lights”.
