'Lighting up the faith' for more than 200 drug addicts in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 12, at Phuc Son Voluntary Drug Rehabilitation Center (Anh Son District), the Provincial Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghe An Province coordinated with other units to organize the program "Lighting up the faith".

The program “Lighting up the faith” is an annual activity organized by the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee - Secretariat of the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghe An province to promote the role and responsibility of the Youth Union - Association at all levels and units in the coordination of education and encouragement, helping drug addicts reintegrate into the community. Thereby helping them have a stable life, contributing to reducing the rate of crime and law violations in the community.

Attending this program were more than 200 students from Phuc Son Voluntary Drug Rehabilitation Center, Anh Son district.
Speaking at the program, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghe An province Nguyen Thi Phuong Thuy emphasized that in recent times, the Youth Union and Association at all levels of Nghe An province have always determined that accompanying drug addicts to reintegrate into the community is a necessary task.
This important activity aims to motivate students to overcome their inferiority complex, have the will to overcome and be determined to quit drugs so they can soon reintegrate into the community and become useful people to society.

Phuc Son Voluntary Drug Rehabilitation Center is a public service unit under the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union, located in Tien village, Phuc Son commune, Anh Son district, with the function of receiving, organizing treatment, drug rehabilitation, health recovery, managing drug rehabilitation students and vocational training for post-rehabilitation students to reintegrate into the community. Currently, the center is receiving more than 200 students.
At the program, representatives of the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Youth Union also listened to the thoughts and wishes of the trainees towards the government agencies, functional departments and branches and towards the staff and teachers at the facility. At the same time, 10 gifts were presented to 10 trainees with good achievements in the drug rehabilitation process at the facility in the past time.
The students listened to the reporter discuss the topic "Harmful effects of drugs, HIV/AIDS, laws on drug prevention", and were examined by doctors and nurses about their health.

The Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union hopes that through the program, the students will have an optimistic spirit, a positive attitude towards life, and strive for good values. Each student should become an active propagandist to promote everyone to participate in preventing and fighting drug abuse in the future.
