After nearly 15 years of planning, Dong Hoi Industrial Park in Hoang Mai Town still cannot take shape.

This industrial park is located in Quynh Lap and Quynh Loc communes of Hoang Mai town. Bảng chỉ dẫn — According to the initial planning, Dong Hoi Industrial Park is a multi-industry industrial park such as thermal power industry; thermal power support industry; cement industry; shipbuilding industry; rope, cable, cordage and fishing gear manufacturing industry; seasoning powder processing industry; mechanical repair industry. This industrial park is also determined to be associated with the Dong Hoi seaport system, which has been approved by the Ministry of Transport for detailed planning in Decision No. 838/QD-BGTVT dated April 28, 2011. However, after many years, this area only has a few factories in operation, while other investment project portfolios have not yet taken shape. In particular, Dong Hoi port has not been built yet. Eo biển — It is known that on February 15, 2023, on behalf of the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed Decision No. 93/QD-TTg approving the overall adjustment of the Master Plan for the construction of the Southeast Nghe An Economic Zone, Nghe An province until 2040. In which, Dong Hoi Industrial Park is located in Area 2 of the Southeast Economic Zone, with an area of 600 hectares. This will be an area for the development of multi-industry industries, electricity industry, mechanical industry, cement industry, shipbuilding industry, aquatic product processing industry, seafood, forestry products, etc. associated with Dong Hoi general seaport.
