Candidate in Quynh Luu district broke his leg and used crutches to take the high school graduation exam
(Baonghean.vn) - A candidate in Quynh Luu district unfortunately broke his right leg and had to use crutches to take the exam. He was helped by a team of young volunteers to get him into the exam room.
On the morning of June 28, at the Nguyen Duc Mau High School exam site in Son Hai Commune (Quynh Luu), hundreds of candidates arrived very early to prepare for the first Literature exam of the 2023 high school graduation exam. Notably, at this exam site, there was a candidate who had a broken leg so his family took him to school by motorbike, then used crutches to go to the exam room.

At exactly 9:35 a.m., the Literature exam ended, and the candidate walked out of the exam room on crutches with the help of a volunteer.

The candidate who went to the exam on crutches was Le Van Duong, from Son Hai commune, a 12th grader at Cu Chinh Lan High School (Quynh Ba commune, Quynh Luu district). A week before the exam, while playing soccer with his friends, Duong was unfortunately involved in a collision that broke his leg and had to be taken to the hospital for treatment. After a period of treatment at the hospital, Duong's left leg is still painful and he has to wear a cast and a cast to treat the fracture.
At this time, Duong is taking the high school graduation exam, so he will face many difficulties in traveling. With encouragement from his family, Duong is determined to study and be present on time before taking the first exam.
“Before the exam, my parents encouraged me not to be discouraged, because there were many other candidates with especially difficult circumstances who overcame their pain to pass the exam with flying colors. I myself was also aware that I had spent 12 years studying to pass the graduation exam with my friends, so I tried my best to go to school to take the exam,” Duong shared.

At this exam site, Duong's registration number is in room 53, 3rd floor. Because of his broken leg, he has to use crutches, so it is very difficult for him to move around. To help Duong get to the exam room easily, the Son Hai Commune Youth Volunteer Team supported and carried the candidate up the stairs. At the same time, when the exam time was over, Duong was also supported by volunteers who came to the room to support and help him out of the school to get on the bus to go home.

Ms. Tran Thi Yen - Secretary of the Son Hai Commune Youth Union (Quynh Luu) said: "To support candidates entering the high school graduation exam, the Commune Youth Union arranged a force of union members and youths to be present in front of the school gate to look after the school bags and give out drinking water to the candidates. In special cases such as candidate Le Van Duong who had to use crutches to take the exam, we directed volunteers to support the candidate to the exam room and give out drinking water to give him more strength to complete his exam well."
After finishing the first Literature exam, candidate Le Van Duong was supported by the youth volunteer team and especially the Chief of Police of Son Hai commune to take him home to prepare for the Math exam this afternoon.
