In this year's high school graduation exam, Dat was one of two candidates from Nghe An who had to take the exam in a separate room with quite special circumstances.

With the title of Valedictorian, for the past 3 years, Nguyen Cong Dat has been an excellent student of Nghi Loc 3 High School. However, on June 12, nearly 3 weeks beforehigh school graduation examhappened, Dat had an accident while playing sports, fell on his right hand on the hard floor.

Although his family took him to the hospital in time, Dat had to have surgery due to the strong fall.

Recalling his feelings at that time, Dat said that the first thing he was worried about was the upcoming high school graduation exam. The most worrying thing was the Literature exam, because this is an essay exam, requiring candidates to write a lot. Meanwhile, after the surgery, Dat's right hand was still immobilized in a cast and he could not write by himself. Faced with this awkward situation, Dat contacted his homeroom teacher, carefully read the exam regulations of the high school graduation exam and wrote a request to arrange for someone to copy the exam papers for him at the high school graduation exam.

For the Board of Directors of Nghi Loc 3 High School, this is also the first case. Therefore, as soon as receiving the student's petition, the school's Principal submitted a petition to the Head of the Steering Committee for the 2023 High School Graduation Exam and the Department of Education and Training to request the arrangement of someone to copy the test. After that, the Department also asked for the opinion of the Ministry of Education and Training.

According to the original plan, the school would arrange for a 10th or 11th grade student to copy Dat's test. However, later, according to the Ministry's instructions, the test site had to arrange for a non-professional invigilator to copy the test for the students to ensure objectivity. Before the test day, Dat was encouraged by teachers and staff from the school's Board of Directors. He also had a practice test with 10th grade students. Although his test score only reached 7, that helped Dat calm down before entering the official test.

Special exam room

In the first exam this morning, Nguyen Cong Dat was one of the first candidates to arrive at the Nghi Loc 3 High School exam site. Entering the exam hall, Dat was in a good mood even though Literature would be Dat's most difficult subject in this exam.

Welcoming Dat right outside the school gate, teacher Pham Thi Lan Huong - Vice Principal of the school could not hide her joy, because after much worry, Dat's arrival at the exam school normally with a calm demeanor was the first victory for this year's exam.

In the spare exam room reserved for Dat, the main invigilator and the invigilator who helped Dat copy the test papers had also arrived early. At the beginning of the exam, two other teachers from the school were also assigned to install the camera and instruct Dat on how to use the recorder according to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training. These two devices cannot transmit or broadcast information, audio signals, or images directly to record the entire exam process of the candidate.

Before entering the official exam, teacher Ngo Thi Hong Dung - the supervisor who helped Dat copy the test - gave this special candidate a tight handshake. Since yesterday afternoon, after the procedure, the two teachers and students had their first meeting and discussed some regulations on the exam, so there was not much confusion.

Speaking more about this rather unexpected task, Ms. Hong Dung - Teacher at Cua Lo 2 High School added: I am an English teacher, standing on the podium for more than 20 years but this is the first time I have been a supervisor in such a unique situation. Entering the first exam, I hope Dat will be calm, confident, and do well on the exam. Personally, I will also try my best to support the candidate so that he can get the best results.

Entering the Literature exam, Dat also said that reading an essay for the examiner to copy his ideas was quite difficult. However, although he did not have much practice with the teacher, Dat compensated by studying a lot, studying the works carefully and training himself in logical thinking. In addition to the results of the high school graduation exam, Dat also participated in the Hanoi National University's competency assessment exam and the University of Science and Technology's thinking assessment exam, so Dat believes that he has many other opportunities to be admitted to university.

This morning, Director of the Department of Education and Training Thai Van Thanh also went directly to the exam site to encourage and motivate Dat before entering the exam room. The timely attention and support will further motivate Dat to complete this year's exam and continue to nurture hope for Nghi Loc 3 High School in the journey towards a successful exam season with many honored students.
