(Baonghean.vn) - After a day off without a valid reason, today (March 31), students at Nghi Thuy Primary School returned to school.

This afternoon (March 31), Ms. Uong Thi Mai Huong - Principal of the SchoolNghi Thuy Primary School(Cua Lo Town) said that all students of the school who were absent from school without valid reasons yesterday (March 30) have returned to school.

Previously, as reported by Nghe An Newspaper, to protest the People's Committee of Cua Lo Town issuing a plan to manage business activities for 4-wheel electric vehicles, many parents of Nghi Thuy Primary School let their children stay home from school and marched to the gate of the People's Committee of Cua Lo Town to put pressure on the authorities to extend the deadline for registration and inspection of 4-wheel electric vehicles.

However, the view of the People's Committee of Cua Lo Town is to strictly implement Circular 15/2014/TT-BCA regulating vehicle registration of the Ministry of Public Security and Circular 86/2014/TT-BGTVT regulating conditions for 4-wheeled motorized passenger vehicles and drivers participating in traffic within the limited scope of the Ministry of Transport. At the same time, controlling the number of 4-wheeled electric vehicles is to limit the emergence of this type of vehicle, gradually reducing the number of vehicles from the current 558 to 300.

The principal of Nghi Thuy Primary School also said: After the incident that happened yesterday, the school's Board of Directors assigned homeroom teachers to contact parents to propagate and encourage compliance with the law; avoid enticing and forcing children to skip school illegally, affecting their studies.

"By this morning, when there were still 10 students absent, the school continued to mobilize and persuade them, and by the afternoon, all the students had come to school," Ms. Mai Huong shared.

Mr. Phung Duc Nhan - Head of the Department of Education and Training of Cua Lo Town said: Even if parents object to the plan to manage business activities for 4-wheel electric vehicles, they should not let their children stay home from school and bring them to the gate of the People's Committee of Cua Lo Town to put pressure on the authorities. This is against the law, affects learning, and causes bad psychology for students. After the above incident, the department will also strengthen propaganda and mobilization work, not allowing non-professional work to affect teaching and learning in schools.
