The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting provides information on the weather nationwide in the coming days as follows:
Northern Region:This week, the Northern region will have scattered thunderstorms in some places, sunny days, the highest temperature is generally 32-35 degrees, some places above 35 degrees, on August 27th, the Northern region will have scattered thunderstorms, the highest temperature during this period will decrease slightly, generally 31-33 degrees, in thunderstorms there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
Water levels in rivers and streams in the northern mountainous region are likely to fluctuate with an amplitude of 1.0m-2m. There is a risk of landslides in mountainous areas, especially in the provinces of Quang Ninh, Bac Kan, Ha Giang, Yen Bai, Lao Cai, and Lai Chau.
From the night of August 31 to September 3, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally with moderate to heavy rain; later there will be showers and thunderstorms in some places. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Central region:In the Northern and Central Central provinces, from August 27-30, scattered thunderstorms will occur mainly in the evening, with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 32-35 degrees. Thunderstorms may include tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
In the Central provinces from Ha Tinh to Khanh Hoa, the flow continues to decrease, much lower than the average. The water level of hydroelectric reservoirs is low, some reservoirs are close to or below the dead water level such as Huong Dien (Thua Thien Hue), Song Tranh 2, Song Bung 4 (Quang Nam), Vinh Son B, Vinh Son 5, Tra Xom (Binh Dinh).
Drought and local water shortages continue to occur in some places outside the water supply areas of irrigation works in provinces from Ha Tinh to Khanh Hoa, especially in provinces from Quang Nam to Phu Yen. The average salinity in the downstream areas of rivers is higher than the average of the same period.
Central Highlands and Southern regions:From August 27-30, the Central Highlands and the South will have showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, with some areas having heavy to very heavy rain. Thunderstorms may include tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
There is a possibility of a fluctuation on the rivers in the Central Highlands. The water level of the upper Mekong River is 3-5m lower than the average, the flow from the upper Mekong River to the headwaters of the Cuu Long River is 40-50% lower than the average. Currently, the water level of the headwaters of the Cuu Long River changes slowly with the tide and is 1.0-1.6m lower than the average.
Marine weather:Around August 28 and 29, there is a possibility of a low pressure area or tropical depression forming in the Northeast of the East Sea. From August 28, there will be strong winds of level 6, gusting to level 8. Waves 3-4m high, rough seas. From August 28, the southwest monsoon will be strong again. Waves 2-3m high. Rough seas.
Hanoi area:This week, Hanoi will have sunny days and scattered showers at night. The highest temperature will be 32-35 degrees Celsius, with some places above 35 degrees Celsius.
