Notice of finding victims in criminal cases
(Baonghean)- The Investigation Police Agency of Nghe An Province Police (PC45) is investigating the criminal case of "Abuse of trust to appropriate property", according to Decision to resume investigation of the criminal case No. 02, dated January 30, 2016. The defendant in the case is Hoang Thi Dao (born in 1965; permanent residence: Block 6B, Cua Nam Ward, Vinh City, Nghe An).
During the investigation, it was initially determined that:
In 2012 and 2013, Hoang Thi Dao directly promised to do the procedures to send many people to work in the Netherlands and then appropriated from each of them at least 500 USD and at most 1,800 USD. In addition, through the broker Tran Thi Thanh Can (also known as Duc, born in 1959; registered in Khai Son commune, Anh Son district; temporarily residing at 58, Tran Quang Dieu street, block 14, Truong Thi ward, Vinh city, Nghe An) and her son-in-law Nguyen Chieu Duong (born in 1980; residing in hamlet 4, Quynh Hong commune, Quynh Luu, Nghe An), the subjects Dao, Can and Duong promised to organize for many people to go to Taiwan to work and appropriate from each person's assets from 8 million to 19 million VND.
On September 12, 2013, the Investigation Police Agency, Vinh City Police, Nghe An Province initiated a case and prosecuted Hoang Thi Dao for the crime of “Abuse of trust to appropriate property”. Because at that time, the defendant Dao had fled and her whereabouts were unknown, the case was temporarily suspended until now.
The victims in the above case reside in many different localities such as: Nghi Loc, Dien Chau, Ounh Luu, Nam Dan, Yen Thanh, Hung Nguyen, Do Luong, Vinh City... of Nghe An province; Nghi Xuan, Can Loc, Duc Tho, Hong Linh Town, Ha Tinh City... of Ha Tinh province and some victims in Hanoi. The defendant Dao himself cannot remember the full names and addresses of the victims.
