16 gamblers were caught red-handed along with cars and many motorbikes. In the trunk of one person’s motorbike alone, the police seized nearly 700 million VND.
- On the afternoon of November 27, a source from Tan Tru District Police (Long An) said that after many days of detention, the Investigation Police Agency of this district issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecuting 6 defendants for the crimes of "Organizing gambling" and "Gambling". The amount of money seized in the gambling table and in the car was over 700 million VND.

At around 2:00 a.m. on November 14, criminal detectives from the provincial police in coordination with Tan Tru district police suddenly raided the house of Ms. Nguyen Thi Chanh (born in 1956; residing in Hamlet 5, An Nhut Tan commune, Tan Tru district) and caught red-handed a sic bo gambling den with over 30 gamblers gambling with each other.
In addition to some of the escaped subjects, 16 gamblers were caught on the spot. During the inspection, the police made a record of temporarily confiscating 1 gold ring, 1 car, 23 motorbikes, 1 safe containing many assets. In the trunk of Huynh Cong Lam's motorbike (born in 1986, son of Ms. Chanh), there was nearly 700 million VND.
Also participating in organizing the casino were Cu Thanh Nhang (born in 1983, residing in Long Hiep commune); Dinh Minh Duy (born in 1987, residing in Nhut Chanh commune, both in Ben Luc district).
The subjects confessed that every time they gambled, the group played all night. Duy confessed that he invested with Nhang in gambling at night and lost about 200 million VND.
