Prime Minister dialogues with workers on June 12
Workers will meet, express their thoughts, aspirations, and propose issues related to work and life to the head of the Government.
Implementing plan No. 156/KH-TLĐ dated December 15, 2021 on organizing Workers' Month 2022, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor proposed and was approved by the Prime Minister to organize meetings and direct and online dialogues with workers.
The meeting and dialogue program will have 4,500 workers at the main bridge in Bac Giang province and 63 bridges in provinces, cities and the General Confederation of Labor.

The program is a forum for union members and workers to meet, express their thoughts, aspirations, recommendations and proposals on issues related to work and life to the head of the Government; to be listened to, understood by the Prime Minister, directed to resolve the issues raised and to convey messages to workers nationwide.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister will present gifts to workers in difficult circumstances at the Bac Giang province bridge; visit, encourage and present gifts to workers at boarding houses and social housing.
The program of the Prime Minister meeting and dialogue with workers is an important highlight in the series of exciting activities of Workers' Month 2022 to "Strengthen the leadership of Party committees at all levels, enhance the responsibility of authorities at all levels to pay attention to building the Vietnamese working class in the period of accelerating industrialization and modernization of the country" in the spirit of Notice No. 77-TB/TW dated February 24, 2012 of the Secretariat concluding on the organization of Workers' Month.
The program is an activity to continue affirming the attention of the Party, State, Government, Prime Minister, employers and the social community towards workers; continue to implement the program of Trade Unions accompanying the Government to improve national competitiveness, develop the country sustainably, care for the lives and jobs of union members and workers. At the same time, affirm the determination and aspiration of workers to actively compete in creative labor, improve productivity, contribute to the recovery and socio-economic development of the locality and the country.
10 groups of worker issues petitioned
Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu said that in preparation for the program, on May 16, the General Confederation directed trade unions at all levels and trade union press agencies to open forums, organize research, grasp, and synthesize recommendations, ideas, and proposals from workers to the Party and State. To date, the authorities have received nearly 10,000 questions and recommendations from workers focusing on 10 groups of issues.
Specifically: Proposing to increase the minimum wage; amending the insurance policy in the direction of creating long-term trust for workers to stick with social insurance (SI), limiting the situation of withdrawing SI one time. The third group of issues is directing and urging the resolution of policies, including 3 main contents: workers who have not received support policies when affected by COVID-19; supporting preschool students who are children of workers in industrial parks (IPs) according to Decree 105/2020/ND-CP; supporting house rent according to Decision 08/2022/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister.
The group of issues that workers are most concerned about and ask the most questions about are the urgent needs for housing, schools and trade union institutions to support workers' lives.
In addition, workers also expressed their wishes on issues of credit support for workers, when having good credit, it will limit the situation of borrowing "black credit"; the issue of vocational training, vocational training and the desire to learn a profession is very high among workers; handling enterprises that violate labor laws such as not signing labor contracts, owing wages, owing social insurance.
Workers also made recommendations regarding medical examination and treatment. In fact, there are very few hospitals near the boarding house, so due to time constraints, workers can only go to the hospital on weekends, but on days off they are not covered by social insurance, so they face difficulties. In addition, workers also want to be assured of food safety, especially in kitchens and markets around the industrial park; and to ensure security and safety at their residence and workplace.
Sharing about the resolution of issues proposed in previous dialogues, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu said that one of the issues resolved right from the dialogue held in Ha Nam was the reduction of electricity prices for workers in boarding houses.
In addition, after the dialogue program, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also organized a delegation to monitor the implementation of Resolution 17/2022/UBTVQH15 on overtime hours. The survey results showed that the units strictly implemented the regulations...
