Prime Minister sends condolences and directs to overcome consequences of fire that killed many people in Ho Chi Minh City
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just issued an official dispatch to the Ministry of Public Security and the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City regarding the fire on Lac Long Quan Street, Ward 1, District 11, Ho Chi Minh City.

The dispatch stated: At around 5:30 p.m. on May 7, a fire broke out at the production facility at 47/58/2 Lac Long Quan Street, Ward 1, District 11, Ho Chi Minh City, causing particularly serious consequences, resulting in many deaths.
The Prime Minister sent his deepest condolences to the victims and their relatives and gave the following instructions:
Firstly, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee urgently organized visits, encouraged and took timely measures to support the victims' families; focused on overcoming the consequences of the fire.
Second, the Ministry of Public Security and the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee directed the relevant authorities to promptly investigate the cause of the fire and strictly handle violations in accordance with the law; strengthen propaganda, guidance, and fire prevention and fighting drills; regularly inspect and review facilities at high risk of fire in the area, promptly detect, correct, and remedy violations, and resolutely suspend or terminate operations of facilities that do not ensure fire prevention and fighting safety. In case of serious violations, criminal liability must be considered and prosecuted in accordance with the law./.
