On the morning of September 28, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired an online meeting to assess the situation, overcome damage and draw lessons from responding to storm No. 4 (storm Noru) - one of the biggest storms to affect our country in recent years.

The meeting was connected online from the Government headquarters to the headquarters of the Frontline Steering Committee for Storm Response No. 4 in Da Nang city, and the headquarters of the People's Committees of the provinces and cities: Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Gia Lai, Kon Tum.
Attending the meeting at the Da Nang bridge were Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh, Head of the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, Head of the Frontline Steering Committee for Storm Response No. 4; leaders of ministries, branches and central agencies. Attending the meeting at local bridges were Secretaries and Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and cities.
In recent days, the Prime Minister has continuously issued instructions on response to storm No. 4, with the goal of ensuring people's safety above all, first and foremost, minimizing damage to people and property of the people and the State.
The Prime Minister requested the National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, the National Committee for Incident and Disaster Response and Search and Rescue, ministries, branches, Party committees, local authorities at all levels and people to absolutely not be negligent, subjective, lose vigilance, and at the same time not to panic or lose composure in the face of the storm's developments; to focus on directing and implementing measures to respond to storm No. 4 with the most urgent and drastic spirit, not to be passive or surprised.
On September 27, immediately after the urgent meeting chaired by the Prime Minister on storm response, Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh, Head of the Frontline Steering Committee, went to the Central region to directly direct and supervise storm response work.

On the morning of September 28, Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh inspected the situation after storm No. 4 in the coastal border area of Hue city and Phu Vang district, Thua Thien Hue province. Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan continued to be present in the Central region to directly inspect, urge and direct storm response work.

The quick meeting aims to assess and forecast the situation, overcome the consequences caused by the storm and respond to floods and natural disasters that may continue after the storm, affecting the lives and properties of the people and the state, in order to quickly stabilize the material and spiritual lives of the people, promote production and business after the storm to contribute to stabilizing the macro-economy, curbing inflation, promoting growth, ensuring major balances, in the spirit of doing things quickly, urgently and effectively; at the same time, learn from similar situations, especially in the context of climate change, weather, and natural disasters that are complicated and unpredictable, causing many serious consequences.
