Fight, suppress and strictly handle all types of crimes

Assessment shows that in August, the political security situation and social order and safety in the province were basically stable.

The armed forces strictly maintain combat readiness, coordinate to grasp the situation, ensure security and order; proactively detect and advise on handling arising incidents, and prevent security and order complications from occurring.

The authorities have launched and synchronously deployed measures to prevent, combat, track down, and strictly handle all types of crimes and social evils.

Through that, 59 cases, 74 subjects were discovered transporting, storing, buying, selling, and organizing illegal use of drugs, seizing 1.65 kg of heroin, 145 grams and more than 43,000 synthetic drug pills, and 2.01 kg of crystal meth.

Regarding corruption and position crimes, the authorities have additionally prosecuted 1 defendant for the crime of "Abusing position and power while performing official duties" (former teacher and treasurer of Na Ngoi Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities, Ky Son district); prosecuted 1 additional defendant for the crime of "Giving bribes" occurring at the People's Committee of Cua Lo town.

At the same time, 1 case was discovered, 5 subjects used high technology to gamble via cyberspace;...

Investigation, prosecution and trial work are carried out resolutely by the prosecution agencies. Party committees and authorities at all levels pay attention to the work of receiving citizens, handling petitions, complaints, denunciations, recommendations and reflections of citizens according to regulations, especially the cases of complaints of households related to compensation and site clearance for National Highway 1A.

The work of preventing and combating smuggling, trade fraud, trade in counterfeit, banned and poor quality goods, and food hygiene and safety has been promoted; the enforcement of civil judgments has seen many positive changes; measures for fire prevention, fire fighting, search and rescue have been promptly deployed.

Focus on ensuring security and order on the occasion of National Day September 2

Through the meeting, based on reports and assessments of the sectors, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee requested the armed forces to maintain combat readiness and deploy plans to ensure security and order on the occasion of National Day, September 2.

At the same time, coordinate with local authorities to organize patrols and controls to protect border and island sovereignty, ensure national security and social order and safety in the area.

Direct localities to focus on preparing and organizing defense zone drills according to plan; prepare forces and means for disaster prevention and control, search and rescue.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee also requested to strengthen the work of grasping the situation, ensuring security in all fields and areas; absolutely protecting the safety of important events of the province, high-ranking delegations of the Party, State, and international guests visiting and working in Nghe An.

Party committees and authorities at all levels continue to do a good job of receiving citizens, having direct dialogues and handling citizens' feedback and recommendations; focus on handling and effectively resolving complicated issues right at the grassroots level, avoiding being passive or surprised.

Step up the fight against and suppress all types of crimes and law violations, especially crimes that violate social order, economic and environmental crimes, drug crimes, high-tech crimes, online fraud, human trafficking, etc.

Strengthen market management; forest protection, fire prevention, fire fighting, rescue; strictly handle acts of transporting and trading counterfeit goods, poor quality goods, violating food hygiene and safety...

Agencies in the Internal Affairs sector also need to continue to coordinate and perform well the work of detecting, transferring, receiving, classifying, resolving denunciations, crime reports, recommending prosecution, arrest, detention, investigation and handling of crimes...

Strengthen the detection and handling of corruption and negativity through inspection, supervision, investigation, and resolution of denunciations; enhance the recovery of lost and misappropriated assets in corruption, economic, and negativity cases.

At the same time, focus on resolving and removing difficulties and obstacles in cases and cases under the supervision and direction of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity; maintain order and effectiveness in the operations of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Steering Committee and the Provincial Steering Committee; proactively do a good job of internal affairs to prepare for the protection of Party Congresses at all levels and the 20th Provincial Party Congress.
