Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Duoc: Building Nghe An Veterans Association stronger and stronger

On the morning of March 19, a working delegation of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association led by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Duoc - President of the Vietnam Veterans Association had a working session with the Nghe An Provincial Veterans Association.

At the reception, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh briefly reported on the socio-economic achievements of Nghe An in recent years.

In particular, after 5 years of implementing Resolution 26-NQ/TW, dated July 30, 2013 of the Politburo on "Orientations and tasks for the development of Nghe An province until 2020" and implementing the movement to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas; the socio-economic, defense and security situation of the province has had positive changes.

Nghe An has many economic restructuring and investment cooperation; urban and rural areas are increasingly prosperous. In 2018, the province completed 27/27 set targets; the growth rate of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) reached 8.77%;...

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh emphasized that the province's socio-economic achievements have had positive contributions from all levels of the War Veterans Association in the province.

In particular, the Association of War Veterans has promoted the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, actively participated in the movement of the whole people to protect security and order, the whole people united to build a cultural life in residential areas, and build new rural areas.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Duoc - Chairman of the Vietnam Veterans Association congratulated the socio-economic development results that the Party Committee and people of Nghe An province have achieved.

He also suggested that the province continue to pay more attention to cadres and members of the War Veterans Association at all levels in the province to do a good job in resolving policies and regimes for war veterans; support veterans to reduce poverty, develop the economy, improve their material and spiritual life; build an increasingly strong Association, and contribute more to the local socio-economic development.
