(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 18, a working delegation of the Ministry of Public Security led by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security had a working session at the border commune of Ngoc Lam, Thanh Chuong district and attended the National Great Unity Day with the local people.
Also attending was Major General Nguyen Huu Cau - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of Nghe An Provincial Police.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh and the delegation of the Ministry of Public Security and Nghe An Provincial Police worked with the People's Committee of Ngoc Lam commune; visited the workplace of the Ngoc Lam Commune Police Department.
Ngoc Lam is a border commune with 17 km of border with Laos. The commune has 14 residential villages, more than 1,400 households, 6,103 people, mainly ethnic minorities.
Ngoc Lam Commune Police has assigned 3 regular police officers to take on the positions of Chief and Deputy Chief of Commune Police. Although they have just been appointed and have not been working for long, with their experience, responsibility, and professional qualifications, the regular police officers have quickly become familiar with the area and have actively grasped the situation and customs of the local people.

At the meeting with the Party Committee and the government of Ngoc Lam commune, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh requested that the Party Committee and the government continue to pay attention, help, and coordinate well with the Commune Police Department to proactively grasp the border security situation. Regarding the Commune Police Department, the Deputy Minister requested that they proactively learn and familiarize themselves with the customs and practices of ethnic minorities, spend more time to self-study, and improve practical capacity.

On this occasion, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh presented a television and a computer to the People's Committee and the Police Department of Ngoc Lam commune.
Also during the working session in Ngoc Lam commune, comrade Nguyen Van Thanh attended and shared the great solidarity festival with the people of Ma village, Ngoc Lam commune.
