On the evening of May 15, at the Kim Lien National Special Relic Site (Nam Dan, Nghe An), Nghe An province coordinated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry of Public Security to organize the opening ceremony of the 2025 Sen Village Festival and inaugurate the Statue "Uncle Ho visits his hometown".

Towards the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025); 80 years of the successful August Revolution, National Day September 2; Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Public Security (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and 20 years of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025), on the basis of the Central Public Security Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security in agreement with the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Committee of Nghe An province proposed and was approved by the Central Party Secretariat.
With the close coordination of central and local departments, ministries and branches, especially Nghe An province, the construction of the President Ho Chi Minh Monument with the theme "Uncle Ho visits his hometown" was carried out right in the premises of the special national historical site - President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site in Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, Nghe An province; where there is a banyan tree, a well, a communal house yard called Sen Village, where Uncle Ho visited his hometown twice in 1957 and 1961; the place where he was born and attached to him since his childhood and his hometown's affection for Uncle Ho. He met and talked intimately with the villagers and commune people; recalled old stories with the elders; was affectionate with children; advised the Party Committee, government, organizations and the People.
The project was constructed urgently and seriously, taking place over a period of 2 years. The statue was cast from an original photo taken from the scene of Uncle Ho's second visit to his hometown in 1961.
The statue is designed including the pedestal and the statue with a total height of 12.5m; of which the statue is 8.3m high, weighs 6 tons, and is made of pure copper. The project is built according to the correct process and design regulations to ensure progress and quality according to the requirements.
Today, the Central Public Security Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security in coordination with the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee of Nghe An province solemnly held the inauguration ceremony of the "Uncle Ho Visits His Hometown" Monument in the grounds of the special national historical site - President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site in Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, Nghe An province.
The project has great and profound political and cultural significance to pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh - the genius leader of the Party and the Vietnamese People, the national liberation hero, the world cultural celebrity, the exemplary communist soldier, the beloved father of the Vietnamese armed forces. He devoted his whole life to the independence and freedom of the Fatherland and the prosperous and happy life of the People.
Throughout his revolutionary career, President Ho Chi Minh always had special affection and thoughtful teachings for the People's Public Security Force. He left the People's Public Security Force many invaluable legacies of profound theoretical and practical significance, typically "Six teachings of Uncle Ho to the People's Public Security Force". This is a guideline for action, a strong driving force for generations of People's Public Security officers and soldiers to be determined and strive to excellently fulfill all tasks entrusted by the Party, State and People; firmly protect national security, ensure social order and safety, and make an important contribution to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
With the hope that the "Uncle Ho Visits His Hometown" Monument is not only a symbolic work, with profound historical and humanistic values, but also a unique and typical cultural and architectural work, becoming a "red address", an attractive and impressive destination attracting domestic and foreign visitors to visit, make pilgrimages and pay their respects, the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security respectfully request that Party committees, authorities, organizations at all levels and people of Nghe An province continue to coordinate in managing, preserving and promoting the value of the Monument effectively and practically in the coming time.
