Lieutenant Linh has a knack for solving crimes.
(Baonghean) - Not only good in his professional field, Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Cong Linh - Deputy Captain of the Traffic Police Team of Ky Son District Police is also known for many outstanding achievements in the fight against crime, recognized by the people.
Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Cong Linh is from Dong Van commune (Thanh Chuong) but has been attached to the border area of Ky Son for nearly 10 years. During that time, together with his teammates wearing the traditional yellow uniform, he has fulfilled his duty of ensuring traffic safety and order in the area, while also doing a good job of propaganda and raising awareness of the law for traffic participants.
Although his main specialty is fighting against violations in the field of traffic safety, on his patrol routes, Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Cong Linh is better known for his encounters with criminals in the field of violating social order. He said: “Taking advantage of the unique route from Laos, criminals often use vehicles as a perfect cover to transport contraband goods through the area to find a place to sell them.
Recognizing this issue, I myself and the Traffic Police team always focus on fighting all types of crimes on patrol routes, contributing to ensuring traffic safety and order, while maintaining security, politics and social order in the area.

Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Cong Linh said that until now, he still has not forgotten the journey of following the trail of Nguyen Van Nam (born in 1982), residing in Dong Nai province, to Ky Son district to buy drugs for consumption in 2014. At that time, receiving information from the people that there was a Southerner in the area with many signs of illegal drug trafficking, after verification, Senior Lieutenant Linh reported to the leaders to monitor the case.
Because the subject suddenly changed the transaction method, carrying the "goods" alone to catch a bus back to Vinh, so in order not to lose track of the subject, he jumped on the bus alone and sat next to the subject. On the way from Ky Son to Vinh, using professional measures, he discovered that the subject hid the "goods" by tying it across his waist, and also had a knife on his person. After nearly 200km, he quickly texted his teammates at Traffic Police Team 1.7 who were on duty in Do Luong district to coordinate.
When the bus reached Yen Son commune (Do Luong), seeing the working group signal to stop the vehicle, the subject got up and tried to run away but was quickly knocked down by him. A quick search found 20 grams of heroin and a sharp knife on the subject. After this achievement, Truong Cong Linh was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Provincial Police Director.
Most recently, on March 29, the Traffic Police Team of Ky Son District Police led by Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Cong Linh - Deputy Team Leader was on duty on National Highway 7A, passing through Luu Thang village, Chieu Luu commune, when they discovered a man riding a motorbike with license plate 89H7-0401 with many suspicious signs, so they signaled him to stop for an administrative check.
During the inspection, a package of heroin hidden in a wallet was discovered on the subject. Knowing that he was being arrested, the subject tried to fight back against the task force in an attempt to escape but was later restrained and arrested. The subject's identity was determined to be Lu Van May (born in 1974), residing in Minh Thanh village, Luong Minh commune (Tuong Duong).
Lieutenant Linh said that the biggest difficulty in handling traffic safety violations in the area is that people have little knowledge of the law. When handling violations, officers in charge must remind, propagate, explain and persuade them not to repeat the offense. In addition, when fighting against all types of crimes on patrol, there are times when they are threatened, resisted, even have grenades thrown at them or are exposed to the risk of exposure when controlling HIV-infected subjects.
However, Senior Lieutenant Linh and his teammates did not fear danger and devoted themselves to the peace and happiness of the people. With these contributions, in 2015 and 2016, Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Cong Linh was awarded the title of "Basic Emulation Fighter" by the Provincial Police Director and was twice awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Chairman of the Ky Son District People's Committee for his outstanding achievements in the "Early Finish" movement launched by the Ky Son District Police.
Since the beginning of 2015, Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Cong Linh has directly participated in and detected 16 cases, arrested 14 subjects who took advantage of traffic to commit crimes, seized 21.6 grams of heroin; 19 packets of heroin, 3 synthetic drug pills; 40.8 kg of firecrackers and 29,346m3 of various types of wood. On the occasion of the recent Lunar New Year, through traffic control patrols, Lieutenant Linh directly discovered 2 cases of fruit trading with a weight of 90 kg of unknown origin. |
