(Baonghean.vn) - At 1:35 p.m. on August 5, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense received Notice No. 04/2023/TB-CT from Chi Khe Hydropower Joint Stock Company on the operation of water discharge from Chi Khe Hydropower Reservoir.
To ensure the operation of reservoir water dischargeChi Khe Hydropower PlantTo ensure safety in accordance with the approved single-reservoir and inter-reservoir procedures on the Ca River basin, Chi Khe Hydropower Joint Stock Company plans to discharge water from Chi Khe Hydropower Reservoir through the spillway from 5:30 p.m. on August 5, 2023.
Total discharge is expected to be approximately 506m3/s to 1,550m3/s (including discharge through the spillway gates and generator set). Estimated time to end water discharge through the spillway: Until the water flow to the lake decreases below 506 m3/S.
The People's Committees of the districts: Con Cuong, Anh Son, Thanh Chuong, Do Luong, Nam Dan, Hung Nguyen, Vinh city and the Heads of the provincial Departments, branches and sectors, Road Management Area 2 grasp the information, notify the authorities at all levels, agencies, units, investors who are constructing along the river, on the river, owners of water transport vehicles and all people in the area downstream of Chi Khe Hydropower Plant to know and deploy necessary work, ensuring the safety of life and property of the State and the People.

To ensure the safe operation of water discharge from Khe Bo Hydropower Reservoir in accordance with the approved single-reservoir and inter-reservoir procedures on the Ca River basin, Vietnam Power Development Joint Stock Company plans to discharge water from Khe Bo Hydropower Reservoir.
Accordingly, the expected time of water discharge through the spillway is from 4:30 p.m., August 5, 2023.
Total discharge is expected to be approximately 510m3/s to 1,500m3/s (including discharge through spillway gates and generator sets).
Estimated time to end water discharge through spillway: Until water flow to the lake drops below 487 m3/S.
