Nam Mo Hydropower Plant (Ky Son) is expected to drain the reservoir at 5:30 a.m. on February 13.
The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense has just issued Notice No. 13/TB-VP.PCTT on the operation and regulation of the Nam Mo hydropower reservoir, Ta Ca commune, Ky Son district.
Accordingly, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention - Search and Rescue and Civil Defense (PCTT-TKCN and PTDS) received Notice No. 01 dated February 10, 2025 from Nghe An Energy Development Corporation on the operation and regulation of Nam Mo Hydropower Reservoir.
Accordingly, Nam Mo Hydropower Plant plans to drain the reservoir to inspect and periodically dredge the sediment of the reservoir bed, water intake gates and maintain the lifting equipment system of the spillway gates and bottom discharge sluices after the flood season in 2024.
To ensure the safe operation and regulation of water at Nam Mo Hydropower Reservoir in accordance with the approved single-reservoir and inter-reservoir procedures on the Ca River basin, Nghe An Energy Development Corporation plans to release water from Nam Mo Hydropower Reservoir.
Estimated discharge time: Starting from05:30, February 13, 2025.
Discharge flow:About 60m3/S(less than the water flow through 01 generator bowl).
Expected completion time: Until the plant finishes related work (expected to fill water again and operate the reservoir in normal mode on February 23, 2025).

The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Disaster Prevention informs: Ky Son District People's Committee and Heads of provincial departments, branches and sectors, Road Management Area 2 to inform authorities at all levels, agencies, units, investors who are constructing along the river, on the river, owners of water transport vehicles and all people in the area downstream of Nam Mo Hydropower Plant to know and deploy necessary work, ensuring the safety of life and property of the State and people./.
