Up to now, in Vinh City, there are more than 72 low-rise and high-rise apartment buildings, with a total of more than 8,500 apartments. Most of the high-rise apartment buildings are equipped with elevators and emergency stair systems. Emergency stairs can be built inside the building, but in some apartment buildings, the emergency stair system is made of iron on the outside. Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh - Head of C4 building said: After residents moved in in 2006, a few years later, when completing the handover procedures for use, the authorities requested the installation of an emergency staircase, then the investor installed it. However, it is not clear what kind of steel material it was made of, but after only a few years of use, it was damaged. A few months ago, because they could no longer walk, the residents agreed to fence it off to prevent anyone from walking. Photo: Tien Dong |
