Giving strength to Agent Orange victims

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 8, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin met to discuss the organization of the 55th anniversary of the Agent Orange disaster in Vietnam and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin.

Attending the event were representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Police, the Provincial Military Command, and the Nghe An Border Guard.

At the discussion, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims announced the Central Secretariat's opinion on the 55th anniversary of the Agent Orange disaster in Vietnam; Official dispatch of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee: On organizing the 55th anniversary of the Agent Orange disaster in Vietnam and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Provincial Association.

Comrade Dinh Xuan Tu, Chairman of the Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims of Nghe An province, announced the commemoration plan.

Accordingly, the Provincial Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims has developed a plan to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the Agent Orange disaster in Vietnam and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Nghe An Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims (September 26, 2006 - September 26, 2016).

The commemorative plan clearly states the content and form of commemorative activities such as: Widely disseminating to all classes of people, organizations, agencies and units in each locality of the province about the serious and long-term harm and consequences of Agent Orange/dioxin carried out by the US during the war of aggression against our country on the ecological environment and human health, especially the victims, those who participated in the resistance war and their descendants exposed to Agent Orange/dioxin and the establishment and results of the activities of the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/dioxin in the past 10 years...

Delegates gave their opinions on the commemorative activities as well as honored the golden hearts that have donated and supported Agent Orange victims in the province over the past 10 years. Thereby, calling for more material and spiritual sharing from society, giving strength to the unfortunate to overcome the pain and integrate into the community.
