The newly discovered debris has been sent to Malaysia for further investigation. This time the debris is a horizontal jigsaw piece believed to be part of the aircraft's wing assembly.
According to an airline source, currently, there are no Boeing 777 aircraft in the world missing except for Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 on March 8, 2014 with 239 passengers and all crew on board.
The disappearance of MH370 remains one of the greatest mysteries in aviation. The search for debris is still ongoing.
In September 2015, French investigators confirmed that aircraft debris found on Reunion Island in July 2015 was from flight MH370.
Then, in mid-January 2016, another piece of plane debris was found off the coast of Thailand, however, investigation results showed that it was not from the ill-fated plane.
