Searching for 8th grade female student in Nghe An suspected of jumping off bridge at night
(Baonghean.vn) - On the night of May 1, an electric bicycle and a pair of sandals were found abandoned on Ro Bridge (Thanh Chuong), suspected of having jumped off the bridge. This morning, the search is still underway on Lam River.
At around 8:00 p.m. on May 1, passersby discovered an electric bicycle and a pair of sandals left on the Ro bridge over the Lam river connecting Ngoc Son and Vo Liet communes (Thanh Chuong). Many passersby assumed that a bridge jump had occurred.

This electric bicycle was identified as belonging to Bui Thi Hoai Th. (born 2006) residing in Xuan Tuong commune. Immediately after, Th.’s family members arrived at the scene on Ro bridge. The search for the victim took place during the night.

According to Th.’s family, on the afternoon of May 1, there was a large family gathering. Around 8:00 p.m., when everyone had gone home, Th. told his family that he was going to a friend’s house to borrow books and never returned.
It is known that Th. is the eldest daughter in a family of 3 children. Th.'s father is working abroad, his mother is a farmer and sells brooms. Th. is in 8th grade at Xuan Tuong Secondary School.

Currently, Th’s family, relatives and rescue forces are searching for the victim on the Lam River. As of 8am on May 2, the search has yet to yield any results.
