Looking for family of young man hitchhiking with traumatic brain injury

(Baonghean.vn) - Having a serious accident on the road but not carrying any identification papers, Vinh City Traffic Police has issued a notice to find the victim's relatives to coordinate the solution.

On the morning of July 4, Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Duy Ha - Deputy Head of Vinh City Police said that this unit has issued a document to find the family of a young man who was the victim of an accident that occurred in Vinh City.

Previously, at around 3:00 p.m. on June 30, on Nguyen Viet Xuan Street, an accident occurred between a motorbike with license plate 37N1-5079 driven by Nguyen Ngoc Son (born in 1990, residing in Hamlet 12, Nghi Duc Commune, Vinh City) carrying another young man and a truck with license plate 37C-256.80.

After the collision, the young man sitting behind the motorbike fell onto the road, suffering a traumatic brain injury. Upon discovering the incident, people nearby rushed the victim to Nghe An General Hospital for emergency treatment.

After the accident, Vinh City Traffic Police were present at the scene to investigate the cause of the incident.

Due to the lack of identification documents on the victim, authorities have not yet been able to determine the victim's identity or hometown.

According to information from the police, the victim's identifying characteristics are that of a young man between 25-30 years old; 1.7m tall, weighing about 62kg. The victim's face is rectangular, with square earlobes.

“The victim did not carry any identification documents, only had a wallet containing 55 thousand VND and an inactivated phone SIM card.

The motorcyclist said he met the young man at the bus station and asked for a ride to Nguyen Viet Xuan Street. Since they were going the same way, Mr. Son gave him a ride but got into an accident on the way.

The victim is currently suffering from a traumatic brain injury and is in critical condition in the hospital, so he hopes to find his family to come and take care of him and coordinate with the authorities to investigate the accident," Captain Le Dang Khoa - Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Team of Vinh City Police informed.
