Volunteer to contribute labor days to repair house for martyr's wife
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 13, the Youth Volunteer Team of Vinh University coordinated with the Youth Union of Tien Ky commune, Tan Ky district to join hands to help with labor costs to repair the house of Mrs. Thai Thi Duan, the wife of a martyr, living in hamlet 8, Tien Ky commune.

Family of Mrs. Thai Thi Duan (born in 1931), wife of martyr Nguyen Cong Thuy, who died in 1954; she is currently living with her son. This year, her family received 20 million VND from the state to renovate the house. The house has 3 rooms, with a total area of 40 m2.2old and dilapidated

On the first day of operation, the Youth Union and the Commune Youth Union supported the work, removed the old tile roof and replaced it with a new one, cleaned and sanitized the area around the house, cleared the drains, and renovated the fields and gardens...
Recently, along with the above activities, the Vinh University Youth Union and Tien Ky Commune Youth Union have dug more than 500 m of ditches in the areas of hamlets 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 and 9. The team also helped people build inter-village roads of about 1,000 m.

In the near future, the army will also visit and give gifts to families of war invalids and martyrs on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, July 27.
These are meaningful activities, demonstrating the spirit of volunteerism and wholehearted service to the people of the volunteer green shirt army; expressing the sincere gratitude of young people for the great sacrifices of heroic martyrs./.
