Vinh Diocese and its affiliated organizations donated more than 32 million VND to fight Covid-19
(Baonghean.vn) - This is the amount of money contributed by the Bishop, priests and parishioners at Xa Doai Parish with the aim of sharing difficulties with the local authorities and people in preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic.
Responding to the call for joint support to prevent and fight the Covid-19 epidemic of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, on April 6, representatives of the Vinh Diocese Bishopric, St. Francis Xavier Major Seminary and Xa Doai Parish went to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghi Dien commune, Nghi Loc district to donate 32,215,000 VND.
It is known that this is the amount of money contributed by the Bishop, priests and parishioners at Xa Doai Parish with the aim of sharing difficulties with the local authorities and people in preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic.

Previously, Father Giuse Nguyen Dang Dien - Chairman of the Catholic Solidarity Committee of Nghe An province and the Standing Committee of the Catholic Solidarity Committee of the province visited the headquarters of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province to present gifts to support the Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control fund in the amount of 12.5 million VND.
With joint efforts and contributions to the political system to push back the Covid-19 epidemic, in recent times, the Vinh Diocese and its affiliated organizations have continuously carried out activities in response to Directive No. 16 of the Prime Minister and the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels. In particular, along with the temporary suspension of public masses and pastoral and community moral activities such as: retreats, meetings, association activities, reading prayers, meditation... and switching to online forms.
Joining hands to contribute to support the prevention and fight against Covid-19 pandemic demonstrates the spirit of solidarity with the nation, sharing difficulties with Party committees, authorities at all levels, and social organizations in the current difficult context due to the pandemic.
