Speaking more about this, teacher Bui Xuan An - Principal of Ngoc Son Primary School added: During the holiday, the school coordinated with local authorities to establish 2 working groups to visit each student's home who was absent from school to discuss and talk with parents.

Here, teachers and staff continued to analyze the advantages of merging remote locations into the main school to create conditions and a comprehensive educational environment for students.

In addition, parents are expected to create conditions for their children to return to school soon because prolonged school breaks will affect and disadvantage the students themselves in terms of knowledge acquisition as well as learning psychology.

PrincipalNgoc Son Primary Schoolalso said that during the past time, although the children have not been to school, after each class, the teacher still sends the lesson content and exercises to the class's Zalo group. Through that, parents can download it for their children to review and grasp knowledge according to the program's progress.

Now that all students have returned to school, the school board has assigned homeroom teachers to increase tutoring and make-up classes at the end of the day for students who have been absent for many days. In addition, teachers also arrange for good students in the class to support and tutor students who have gaps in knowledge.

According to the plan, the school will complete the school year program on May 20 and organize a periodic assessment test at the end of the year. From now until the test, the school will make efforts to improve knowledge and skills so that all students meet the requirements and achieve the quality and capacity standards set out in the school year and subject program.

Previously, in the 2020 - 2025 term, implementing Resolution No. 09-NQ/HU dated September 21, 2021 on "Planning the network of schools, improving the quality of education associated with building schools that meet national standards in the period 2021 - 2025", Project No. 2119/DA-UBND dated September 20, 2021, Thanh Chuong district advocated merging Thanh Nam school into the main school. The main goal is to overcome the situation of fragmented and small-scale schools, affecting the quality of education of schools.

After the policy was proposed, some parents at Thanh Nam school objected on the grounds that the distance was too far. In addition, some opinions suggested that the old school should be kept because it was a long-established school and many generations of students in the commune had studied there.

In preparation for the merger, since July 2023, the District People's Committee and Ngoc Son Commune People's Committee have focused on investment resources, mobilizing socialized educational funding sources to upgrade facilities and purchase additional teaching equipment. Thereby, 6 new classrooms, yards, fences, school gates have been built, offices and 5 functional rooms have been renovated and upgraded; 30 new computers, 11 televisions, 70 sets of tables and chairs have been purchased, etc.

With the completion of the merger of Thanh Nam school, Ngoc Son Primary School has basically completed the criteria for recognition as a national standard school in 2024. This has been a long-standing desire of local people because currently the whole district has only 4 primary schools that have not been recognized as standard schools.
