(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 20, the City's Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control worked with the Nghe An Department of Health to evaluate the implementation of Covid-19 testing on the evening of June 19 and to deploy tasks on the evening of June 20. Comrade Phan Duc Dong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Vinh City Party Committee chaired the meeting.
According to the assessment of the city's Covid-19 Prevention and Control Steering Committee, due to the hasty implementation on a large scale, the arrangement and mobilization of medical personnel and the preparation of equipment and supplies are still confusing. On the other hand, the population sampling points are uneven, so some places have not yet fully arranged human resources and supplies. Tonight, June 20, the city will continue to organize sample collection for testing in 25 wards and communes.

"The Vinh City Steering Committee for Epidemic Prevention and Control requested the Department of Health and the Nghe An CDC to arrange for medical staff to be present early to deploy the PCR sampling plan. Prepare all necessary supplies so that wards and communes do not have to run around to buy them. The city must proactively plan for sampling and must agree with the Department of Health on medical supplies and staff participating in sampling. At the same time, assign members of the steering committee to stay close to the area to connect with medical staff."

The Vinh City Party Secretary requested the authorities of wards and communes to review and supplement households, including temporary residents, in the area, carefully prepare sampling points, and arrange working groups to support specialized forces in collecting samples for testing. The police and military forces deployed plans to ensure security and order at sampling points.
At the meeting, the Steering Committee also announced that, to accompany Vinh City in fighting the epidemic, a business has supported 60,000 PCR test samples and brought machinery, equipment, and key technical personnel to the locations to collect samples for testing for people. Each family will send 1 person to participate in collecting PCR test samples. Vinh City will arrange specialized forces and supporting equipment to deploy PCR test samples tonight, June 20.
