Honoring international students and volunteers

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of March 5, the Nghe An Union of Friendship Organizations organized a "Friendship exchange to celebrate the Year of the Monkey with international students and volunteers".

Attending the exchange were comrades: Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Nghe An Union of Friendship Organizations; Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of relevant departments and units; Board of Directors of colleges and universities in the province; representatives of member associations of the Nghe An Union of Friendship and 300 international students and volunteers from universities and colleges in the province.

At the exchange, international students from schools in the province performed many special performances, praising international friendship and solidarity with strong national identities: Laos, Thailand, France, Korea, Russia, etc.

This is an activity to further strengthen solidarity and friendly cooperation between the young generations of countries through a large number of students from universities and colleges in the province. It is also a useful extracurricular activity for international students and volunteers to encourage and expand training cooperation of universities and colleges participating in international integration and enhance the effectiveness of people-to-people diplomacy.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Nghe An Union of Friendship Organizations awarded the Medal "For Peace and Friendship among Nations" of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations to individuals with outstanding achievements in association activities in 2015.

At the exchange, 300 students, international volunteers and officials with excellent achievements in studying and participating in people's foreign affairs activities from the following schools: Vinh University, Vinh Medical University, Nghe An University of Economics, Vinh University of Technical Education, Nghe An Pedagogical College, Vietnam - Korea Technical Vocational College and member friendship associations, Vietnam - Laos Volunteer Army Liaison Committee, Vinh City, Cua Lo Town, Hung Dung Ward... were commended and rewarded.
