On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on the fundamental principles of friendly relations between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Russian Federation (June 16, 1994 - June 16, 2019), General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin exchanged congratulatory messages, emphasizing that this is an important event, marking a new stage of development in the relationship between the two countries.
After 25 years, Vietnam - Russia relations have reached a new height, with cooperation constantly being consolidated and enhanced in all fields of politics, economics, trade, investment, defense, security, education and training, science and technology, culture and tourism...
The two sides expressed their belief that the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia will continue to develop and deepen, for the common interests of the two peoples, for peace, stability and development in the region and the world.
